Bonapp.eco helps reduce food waste by connecting consumers and food suppliers.
Note: The app is in Romanian because it serves users from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca (the second largest city in Romania).
App description
A worldwide estimate says that 40% of food is wasted or lost. Bonapp.eco provides surplus food services to smart buying customers in a culture of positive change with an inspiring voice, helping them feel satisfied and providing them a way to make a difference for their community.
Challenge
After teaming up, the cofounders of Bonapp.eco arrived at Mobiversal with their idea to combat food waste. The challenge was to build an app that puts together food suppliers with consumers of all ages, that want to feel satisfied while making a positive change in their community.
Strategy phase
Together with our strategy team, they went through multiple workshops to determine and define the scope of work. With great research and communication, we discovered a great opportunity how to maximize the result within the same budget by just limiting some aspects that were optional to the scope of reducing food waste. This way they release their first version faster and with a smaller budget.
Design phase
After having the requirements from the strategy phase, we continued with the UX design. After defining the UX, we used the branding guidelines to build the UI design of the application.
For this project we were involved in Product Strategy & Design,
Product Development and in Product Launch & Scaling.
